What to do with an Overripe Melon? Delicious & Refreshing Watermelon Cooler!

This is my go to recipe to whip up for a quick delightful crowd pleaser, but I am honestly most motivated to make this drink when I cut into my watermelon and see that it’s a little past it’s prime. Mushy watermelon has got to be one of the biggest of the small let downs in life. You know you cannot bring this watermelon to the party, but you don’t have to throw it away! Blend it into this slushy drink! Yum! You can either make this delightful drink right away, or freeze the cut up watermelon to blend on another day!

Please know there is some flexibility too. The recipe calls for milk, but you can skip it. It calls for lemon, but I like lime just as well. I also rarely measure the watermelon, I simply eyeball it. This is a no-fail let’s just celebrate summer recipe.

Truly I hope all your watermelons will be perfectly crisp and sweet, but having lived long enough to know that just doesn’t happen, I offer you this happy alternative. Enjoy!
