The Dreamiest Fudge in the World!

Welcome to your new favorite Fudge recipe. It’s easy and so delicious. It makes a full 9 x13 pan! Plenty to share with your coworkers or neighbors. This fudge has pretty much ruined all other fudges for me. Every time I taste fudge, I want it to taste like this amazing one cute mom used to make. It’s so rich and delicious all other fudges might need to take a little bow to this one and concede defeat.

This week I went hunting for the recipe and couldn’t find it!

Gasp! What?!?

I looked online to find something similar and found nothing…so after I chased down the hand written recipe again from my sister I decided this recipe needed to be published! Phew! Now we know where to find it.

Here it is: It tastes like holiday bliss, chocolate dreaminess and childhood memories all rolled up into one little 9 x 13 cake pan.

Enjoy. Share it with your favorite people and make more chocolate memories! 🙂 And don’t worry, the recipe is right here, so we won’t lose it. 🙂

Just 6 ingredients leads you to some amazing chocolate bliss. 🙂
Prep Time 30 minutes
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Servings 20

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Sugar, white granulated
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 12 oz can Evaporated Milk
  • 1 16 oz bag Miniature Marshmallows
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla

Instructions

  • Butter a 9 x 13 cake dish or line with parchment and set aside
  • In a large heat proof bowl add the bag of marshmallows, chocolate chips and vanilla and set aside. (Fresh marshmallows work best for this recipe)
  • In a large pot (6 qt) on medium heat, place the butter and evaporated milk. Stir with a wooden spatula or a heat resistant silicon spatula, while the butter is melting.
  • Add the 5 cups of sugar and continue to stir until the butter, sugar and milk comes to a rolling boil.
  • Once it is at a rolling boil, set a timer for 9 minutes and continue to stir.
  • If you prefer to use a candy thermometer, you are looking for the soft ball stage which is about 230 degrees. 9 minutes works nearly like a charm!
  • At the nine minute mark, pour the butter, sugar, milk mixture into the heat resistant bowl containing the marshmallows, chocolate chips and vanilla–and STIR!
  • Stir until the marshmallows and chocolate are incorporated and you don't mean to, but you giggle a little, because it smells heavenly! It might be 2-3 minutes of stirring, depending on those marshmallows! 😉
  • Pour the fudge into the prepared 9 x 13 pan and press it into the pan.
  • Cover the fudge and move to the refrigerator for the fudge to set.
  • Let the fudge set for 2 hours at least, and then it will be ready to slice into squares for gifts or small pieces for a party. Enjoy this chocolatey goodness!

Notes

Did you know….you can get a little creative if you like: Add 1 cup of miniature marshmallows right at the end of your two minute mixing period and then transfer to the man, giving it a more rocky road appearance. 1 cup toasted chopped almonds, or toasted pecans can also be dreamy if you like that combo! 🙂
This can store well in the freezer for up to 6 months, if it lasts that long!
