The combination of fruit and chocolate is definitely a favorite! Yum! These fruit kebabs drizzled with chocolate are a crowd pleaser, visually appealing and just darn delicious! Your littles or teens can help you assemble them. They make a great party contribution and overall make a yummy summer dessert! Practically perfect!
Let’s dig into this goodness. I will tell you what I created, but know there are a dozen variables that you can adjust to your family’s tastes. Add whichever fruit you love and delete that which you don’t!
I do need to tell you about my favorite way to work with chocolate, because I use it here and pretty much always. 🙂 Wilton Candy Melt Pots! I have been using this for years, and when my first one gave out after 8 years, I immediately bought a replacement because it is just so easy! It is small to store and keeps the chocolate perfectly tempered while I dip or drizzle. I have many times used a double boiler, but the Candy Melt Pot just takes very little brain power! Hooray! I chop up the chocolate, place it in the pot and then forget about it! So if you are ready to have that easiness when working with chocolate, it is even available on Prime! Phew! Easy! Fun Tip: Terrific gift for Moms, ALL chocolate lovers and weddings–pair it with some yummy chocolate and it will make a lovely gift. We originally received it for Christmas from my husbands co-worker, we had no idea how we would love it! So Miles if you are reading this, a huge thanks! We have loved it!
Fruit Kebabs Drizzled with Chocolate
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Strawberries Rinsed, hulled and dried
- 1 Cup Blueberries Rinsed and dried
- 3 Cups Pineapple Peeled and cut into Medium Chunks
- 3-4 Bananas Peeled and cut into 1 inch circles
- 1/2 lb. Milk Chocolate (Choose Dark if you like!) I used Callebaut bulk, but have used Symphony bars, Guittard chocolate and even chocolate chips when needed!
- 1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil Can use butter or Heavy Cream, Make sure it is warm first!
Instructions
- Wash all the fruit first, because the fruit needs to dry before the chocolate drizzle!
- Prepare the fruit, peel the pineapple, hull the strawberries, rinse the blueberries and etc.
- Add the coconut oil to the Wilton Candy Melts Pot, (Or a double boiler also works!) then break chocolate into chunks and add as well.
- Stack a skewer with cut fruit to create the kebabs. Create a design in you wish!
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, line up the kebabs, then drizzle chocolate across the kebabs, you can do this on a plate for serving or across the the entire cookie sheet.
- Refrigerate the kebabs so the chocolate will set. Serve immediately.
