15 minute Grandma’s Homemade Hot Fudge! Deliciousness!

My family is pretty excited about ice cream! We make a LOT of good desserts around here, and they all manage to get eaten, but ice cream still commands a high spot for the dessert of choice. I myself love berries and chocolate, I think there can’t be anything better, but I still buy ice cream for all my peeps and manage to eat some. 😉 My husband on the one hand likes ice cream, but he LOVES hot fudge. For his birthday every year he asks for ice cream sundaes on brownies with hot fudge!

Ingredients for Hot Fudge

For awhile, I was trying to find him the best hot fudge in stores to suit his cravings. There are plenty on the market that are just mediocre. Then over the course of time, we attempted several recipes to try to create the hot fudge he loves. All of them were fine, but nothing really hit the spot.

Then we went with our friends to their cabin a few years back and they decided one night to make their Grandma’s Hot Fudge Recipe. Boom! Chocolate heaven! Where had this recipe been all this time? Dan was overjoyed, eating a few too many spoonfuls.

This recipe is not as thick as the kind you find in the store, but it is still dense and rich enough to coat your ice cream & spoon, but more importantly the deep rich flavor of chocolate is just right in our books.

We have added more cocoa and a pinch of salt to deepen the flavor of the original recipe, and it is pretty much perfect to happily satisfy your wickedest chocolate cravings.

Give it a try and let us know how you like it! Ooooo it’s yummy, you’re gonna love it!
