Your New Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

Jump to Recipe

My husband, Brian, enjoys baking. He will often seek out a new recipe for well, really, any reason. About 14 years ago, some of our good friends had us over to their house and shared with us some amazing cookies. Since having these cookies, we have definitely baked other types of cookies, but have yet to find a chocolate chip cookie that we enjoy as much as these! So this is not our recipe, and Karen doesn’t remember where she got it from, but we love it and think everyone should try them at least once! But really, once you’ve made them, people will ask for the recipe, and how convenient that you have a place for them to come and get it!! 🙂

First, get out your mixer of choice. Brian likes the Kitchen Aid, while I prefer the Bosch. To each his own. Ultimately just a bowl will do as well.

Blend the butter, shortening, and sugars. Mix it well. Add in the eggs and vanilla.

Next add the salt, flour, and baking soda.

Last, add in the chocolate chips!!

In our house, there are always plenty of eager volunteers to help make cookies. We try to take turns!

After spooning them onto a cookie tray, bake them 375 degrees for 8-10 min!!

Then enjoy the rich, gooey, deliciousness of these cookies!!!

Alright, here is the recipe!! We will often stick any extra dough in our fridge and pull some out to make pazookies too! So good!!
