Gratitude Tree On the Front Door? Why Not!?!

Every year in November, we make a gratitude tree! This year we’re moving our tree from the hallway to the front door! I have a little basket with some sharpies, construction paper leaves, and painter’s tape–so it doesn’t take off the paint! We’ve made a little sign:

Whenever we get a visitor, planned or otherwise, we’re hoping they take a minute to fill our tree with gratitude, one leaf at a time! If anyone comes and doesn’t fill it out, my kids are ready to ask and write on their behalf. No names needed, unless, of course, they want to include it.

Imagine walking up to a friend’s house and seeing all the sweet notes of gratitude from the people that live there! It would surely bring a smile on your face and reflect on what you are grateful for as well! This plan has made my kids look at our gratitude tree anew. Who will participate? What will they write? What will we learn from other people and what they hold dear?? We don’t know yet, but we are darn excited to find out! We’ll be sure to share a picture at the end of the month!

Would you like this positivity in your inbox?  🙂  We will email you a couple times a month so you can see the new posts! Don't worry we also don't like spam!
