What do you have to look forward to this year?
I love the anticipation of something fun!
I can wade through a mountain of laundry, weedy yard work, crabby people and challenges, when I have a happy trip or activity planned! The anticipation of fun can be joyful in itself!
Truthfully, I do enjoy my day to day life as well, I just think it’s amazing to mix it up! One of the best ways to mix it up is to have a fun plan! 🙂
Thus here is your Public Service Announcement! If you don’t have something fun to look forward to, then today is the day to start making a plan! Make it happen people! This life is not a dress rehearsal! We’ve got to dream, plan and make our fun come to life!
If you are out of practice of consistent play and need a spring board, here are some ideas to get you started:
- Someone has to start the conversation! Let it be you! Text or call your favorite people today and get the ball rolling! 😉 They all want a fun plan too!
- Wrangling the Calendars: Everyone pulls out their calendars and looks for possible moments of available time in their life, narrow it down to one!
- Start Early. Plan for 12-18 months from now if you have to and then stick to your plan!
- Choose a place away from responsibility so that everyone can relax and have fun! It can be as little as a weekend staycation or as big as a two week cruise! (Or more! Don’t let me hold you back!)
- Split up the planning! When we went to Europe with some friends, we planned England, another couple planned France and the other couple planned Italy. It was so delightful! The planning was part of the anticipation of fun!
If camping is the one thing that you can afford right now, I hear you! Just pick your weekend, your location, and pack up your tent! The crux is to make the magic happen!
I recently got together with my sweet besties. We had to plan it 4 or 5 months ago just to snag a weekend. It was delightful! We’ve already started talking about our next trip 2 years from now!
